This series of the Cascade Mountains were painted Plein air in Central Washington, outside of Cle Elum. I tried to capture the fertile soil, lush fields and bright sunlight that are typical of this amazing region. Kimberly Saltiel is a self-taught, local artist who paints uplifting, impressionist style works and teaches others to foster their creativity through no-fear based art retreats. Saltiel’s love of nature and her innate optimism is reflected in her vibrant color palette, diverse subjects and evocative works.
